There have been some amazing conditions this summer on the European glacier ski areas! Recently the higher Swiss glaciers of Saas Fee and Zermatt have offered the best conditions.The cooler than usual temperatures this summer have allowed the ski areas to preserve their bases. However, some of the lower glacier ski areas are winding up their summer seasons. The first autumnal snow can fall from late August.
